Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 2 trailer introduces 3 new characters

A Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 2 trailer has been released, just a couple of months before the first part of the new season comes out in cinemas in Japan.

I say ‘first part, as the episodes in the second season of the popular anime series will be split up into three movies.

The first film will hit Japanese theaters on September 27th, with the second a month later on October 25th, and the third and final film on November 29th.

Each film will be approximately 85-95 minutes in length — the run time of four TV episodes.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 2, Part 1 trailer introduces new cast members and story

In celebration of the upcoming films release, a new Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 2 trailer was birthed into the world earlier today.

A 2-minute trailer that not only previewed some of the plot points of the upcoming season, but also introduced three new cast members:

  • Flegel: Toru Furuya
  • Arthur Lynch: Issei Futamata
  • Hildegard von Mariendorf: Kana Hanazawa

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These is based on a Yoshiki Tanaka light novel. The first season is currently streaming on Crunchyroll if you are in North America, or in a few other select countries.

There is no word yet on when Season 2 will be airing, but it will hopefully be on Crunchyroll and, hopefully, before the end of the year?

Meanwhile, get yourself ready for it by watching the cool Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 2 trailer below.
