New Boys’ Love manhwa The New Recruit should be added to every BL collection

For fans of Boys’ Love manhwa, let me just give you a heads up, as things don’t get much better in the BL world than the upcoming new Seven Seas Entertainment title — The New Recruit (aka ė‹ ėž…ė‚Žė› in Korea)

Unfortunately, its publishing date is still a ways off (October, 2024) as Seven Seas has just announced the licensing, but as Boys’ Love stories and characters you will be completely enamored with go, this one is worth the wait.

The New Recruit plot

Out in the workforce for the first time after completing a Masters degree, Seunghyun spent most of his 20s in love with an older student who, while being his friend, didn’t seem to have any romantic interest in him at all.

Now, after Seunghyun lands an internship at a high-profile marketing agency, he decides to forget about how much time he has wasted on an unrequited love, and concentrate on his career instead.

The problem is, not only does he discover his former crush is working at the same company, but the boss he will be working under, Kim Jongchan, is a workaholic who has high expectations for all his staff. But he sure is handsome!

The full-color The New Recruit manhwa is written by MOSCARETO and illustrated by Zec.

No pre-order is available for the BL manhwa as of yet but, when it is, you should grab this one as, yes, I have read the dodgy “fan translated” version of The New Recruit (three times), and will be buying it myself when it releases, as it’s one of my all-time faves with four of my favorite “Awwwww” scenes in all of BL manhwa history.

Keep an eye on the Seven Seas Entertainment site then until the pre-order for Volume 1 goes up.

When it does, it’s retailing for $21.99/$28.99 in Canada and, yep, it is absolutely worth every cent.

About Micaela Adams

Didn't get into anime and manga until I was in my 20s. Made up for it in the last few years, as I've been writing about manga for a while now, my 1,000-plus volume manga collection is threatening to collapse my floor, and anime Blu-rays have taken over my living room. Aren't delayed childhoods fun?!
