New Frieren characters Kanne and Lavine are 3rd class mages who control water – watch their character videos

Friends Kanne and Lavine to be introduced in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Episode 17

Two more new characters are about to appear in the next episode of the ongoing hit anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, so TOHO Animation is introducing them to you before they arrive.

They are Kanne and Lavine, two third class mages who are close friends and who studied at the Magic Academy together.

The pair are introduced in separate character videos on TOHO Animation’s YouTube channel with red-haired Kanne (voiced by Azumi Waki), who can control water, a loud and quite upbeat girl.

Meanwhile Lavine (played by Sayumi Suzushiro), who can freeze water, reminds Kanne that 60 percent of the human body is made up of water.

We also see Kanne telling Frieren that she is like a sensei (teacher) to her.

And yes, both girls seem to have very strong personalities.

Kanne and Lavine will first appear in the next episode of the anime — Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Episode 17 — which will be streaming on Crunchyroll later today, and will be recurring characters through the anime’s next arc.
