Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World 2 gets new key visual, premiere date, 3 new characters

The long-awaited second season of the military-themed action fantasy romance anime Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World is almost upon us so, of course, leading up to its premiere, we just got a vibrant new key visual.

Alongside the beautiful new Our Last Crusade key visual, the anime’s official premiere date has also finally been announced — July 11th at 1:30 am in Japan.

That means only a month to go before we find out what happens after that last fight, and those final scenes between Iska and Alice and, of course, Sisbell (wink!).

As you probably expect, the latest Our Last Crusade key visual has Iska and Alice up front and center in some kind of quite romantic-looking fight, with all the main supporting characters in the background around them.

Staff of Our Last Crusade and three new cast/character additions

Three new characters were also announced for Season 2 today.

They are:

From left to right (below) — Magnacasa voiced by Show Hayami (Ferdinand in Ascendance of a Bookworm), Sir Karosos Newton voiced by Tomokazu Sugita (Rudy in Mushoku Tensei), and Garganly voiced by Kazuyuki Okitsu (Saku in Orange).

Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World, Season 2 is directed by Yui Inaba (KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World) with Kaori Yoshikawa (KamiKatsu) designing the characters.

Both Studio Palette and SILVER LINK are in charge of anime production.

The anime is based on the light novel series written by Kei Sazane and illustrated by Ao Nekonabe, which are being published in English by Yen Press who has also released the manga adaptation.

Crunchyroll has announced they will be streaming the anime’s second season, with subscribers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS being able to access it.

And, while the anime was not particularly well-rated by international viewers on sites like My Anime List, enough seem to be excited that a second season is on the way, it could still make quite a splash during the Summer, 2024 season.
